October 29, 2010 A moment ago, international choirs have sung works by Robert Schumann in Zwickau, many enthusiastic visitors attended the concerts.

Due to the fact that Zwickau is celebrating the composer’s 200th birthday this year, tonight people will have the opportunity to listen to Schumann’s works again. This time, his pieces won’t be sung, but they will be danced: The event “TANGO SCHUMANN” takes place in Museumssalon in Zwickau this evening. In detail: The Britain performance artist and choreographer Anthony Howell (born in 1945) and his dancing partner Lindi Köpke will tango to music by Robert Schumann.

We don’t know, what the composer himself would be thinking of it. But the idea promises an entertaining evening! People who are living near Zwickau and like to experience Schumann in an entirely new interpretation, should come to Museumssalon tonight at 7 p.m.
