Sing’n’joy Vienna 2012 – singing and joy in Vienna! Starting this year we created an exciting new event concept complementing our traditional Franz Schubert Choir Competition. What’s different? For the first time ever, in addition to the competition, there will be a festival including Celebration and Friendship concerts and also a very special highlight: A joint performance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass in C major, KV 317 in the Mozart Hall of the Konzerthaus Vienna!

If you and your choir want to be part of this performance and are approved by the Artistic Committee you must have rehearsed the music completely until your arrival in Vienna. On Friday, June 15 a common rehearsal and on Saturday, June 16 a dress rehearsal with the orchestra will take place. The mass will be performed on Sunday, June 17 during the closing ceremony of Sing’n’joy Vienna.

Another new feature of Sing’n’joy Vienna 2012: the date. Instead of taking place in November the event will be held in early summer already, from June 13 to 17, 2012.
