The trophy for the Champions of The World Choir Games 2012 is here, come to Cincinnati and get it!
At yesterday’s annual meeting of the Cincinnati USA Convention & Visitors Bureau the prize cup was presented to the public for the first time. In July “The Champion of The World Choir Games” will be awarded with the trophy in each of 23 musical categories! Up to now you have only a photo from the award; however, try to imagine you’re having it in your hands at the Awarding Ceremony … it makes you swoon, doesn’t it? We keep our fingers crossed that you will succeed!
The design comes from a student at the Art Academy of Cincinnati. The trophy will be produced by Rookwood, a traditional local company that also manufactures the trophy for Western & Southern Open (ATP tennis tournament in Cincinnati).
There’s also another highlight that has been announced at yesterday’s meeting: The Cincinnati Organizing Committee presented the official poster of the 2012 World Choir Games, click here if you want to know how it looks like! And if you like it, you can get it here: www.2012worldchoirgamesstore.com! The poster was designed by the Cincinnati native, award-winning illustrator C.F. Payne. He also designed the artwork for “The singing Mural” at Central Parkway, which you should definitely visit during your stay in Cincinnati next summer (learn more about it here).
