Hi. I am a South African based former choir conductor turned adjudicator because of my music Education specialization. I have been adjudicating in South African schools competition from 1996. I would like to know the role adjudicators can play to enhance the reputation of the competition. I have also experienced during my involvement, a lot of interference by administrators who should focus on sponsoring the competition, but abuse their power and interfere. they have preferences and cannot hide it at times. They make derogatory remarks after the competition and yet they should be practicing restrain and avoid unnecessary tensions. do you think this could have negative consequences. and what is the best solution.
